Tecnavia Press Inc., Burnsville, Minn., announced today that it signed an agreement to supply its NewsMemory electronic edition to GateHouse Media newspapers, headquartered in Fairport, N.Y.
GateHouse Circulation Vice President Fred L. Foutz said his company will “partner with Tecnavia for the launch of eEditions across our company.” The first implementations will be at The Repository, Canton, Ohio, and in Illinois at the Journal Star, Peoria, Rockford Register Star and The State Journal-Register of Springfield.
GateHouse publishes 98 dailies and 292 weeklies and operates more than 250 Web sites. It joins hundreds of papers already using the Tecnavia products.
“The requirements were particularly rigorous given the number of papers and diverse markets,” Tecnavia Sales Vice President Diane Amato said, adding that “GateHouse has many different applications for an eEdition.” The electronic edition’s features can enhance print ads, expand on-line ads, and support Newspaper in Education, snowbird subscriptions and internal distribution, according to Amato.
Headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland, Tecnavia’s Media Division products and services include NewsMemory eEdition, eArchives, historical archive conversions, eProofing, eTearsheeting, eInvoicing, Ad Marketplace, eWebmaster and eClipping.
