The Independent Fires U.S. News Editor Rob Crilly

The Independent’s U.S. news editor Rob Crilly was let go by the British paper following complaints about his aggressive management style, POLITICO has learned.

Last week, Crilly got into a screaming match with head of audience Ibrahim Salha in the newspaper’s New York offices, according to two people who witnessed the confrontation. On Thursday, Crilly was suspended from the paper. On Monday, after meeting with Independent Digital editor Christian Broughton, he was officially let go.
