Nazareth, PA (November 29, 2011)
The New Hampshire Union Leader, the largest daily newspaper in the state of New Hampshire, has selected SCS to install a new, integrated, web-enabled advertising system in early 2012.
Based in Manchester, The New Hampshire Union Leader has been an SCS customer for nearly 27 years. The relationship began in 1984 with Layout-8000™ and continued in 2009 with SCS/Track™ to manage ad production. In 2012, AdMAX™, SCS/ClassPag ™and CAS™ (Community Advertising Services) will be added to the list of systems used every day by the advertising staff, production staff and advertising customers.
AdMAX with CAS replaces a traditional advertising front-end system, while SCS/ClassPag replaces a Harris system. CAS will consolidate all web-based services, from ad order entry and ad submission to online bill pay and proofing. CAS also includes an electronic tearsheet system and a real-time print edition manager.
The installation is expected to be complete by June 1, 2012.
Other ongoing SCS installations
The Dow Jones Local Media Group continues its use of the CAS software to automate its consolidation of all ad-building activities in one center. The link below describes the initial installation which was completed in September, 2010. Additional functionality (e.g. to fully track the production of digital ads) has been added since.
SCS continues its work with Gannett to install Layout-8000 for its 83 daily and 400+ weekly newspapers. Currently, Layout-8000 is live at 20 sites. All of the sites expect to be live by the end of 2012.
Newsday has contracted with SCS for enhancements to its digital asset management system. Included are an upgrade to FotoWare’s Color Factory and a second instance of Index Manager Enterprise which will allow them to index up to 6 million images.
