The New York Times announced today that it has made an agreement with the Philadelphia Newspapers LLC for the Times to be printed at their Schuylkill plant. They will also distribute the Times’ home delivery in the Philadelphia area.
This is the third time The Times has expanded its number of printing sites in the last six months, after adding a plant in Dallas in January and one in Salt Lake City last September. With the addition of the Conshohocken, Pa., plant, the New York Times will now be printed at 25 different locations around the country.
The Schuylkill plant currently prints 12 publications including the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News. By entering into the agreement The Times will be able to home deliver their weekday and Sunday editions in the Philadelphia region. The agreement will be effective in early March.
