The Washington Post’s new app for iPad, which came out yesterday, has a feature called Live Topic. The feature is meant to immerse the user into the newspaper by giving them a single destination for Post stories and commentary, aggregated social media conversations, videos, photos and user engagement through Twitter and Facebook about the top three to five issues of the day, according to a press release.
“We feel we’ve created a uniquely dynamic news experience for users to discuss and share their viewpoints about relevant issues of the day,” says Raju Narisett, managing editor of The Post.
The app is free until February when the full-access price will be 99 cents a month for print newspaper subscribers and $3.99 monthly for non-subscribers
