An exhibit marking the 30th anniversary of the “Farley” strip will start Friday at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco. The show will run through Sept. 25.

For its first 10 years, Phil Frank’s comic was nationally syndicated. “Farley” went local in 1985, and has since appeared six days a week in the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the museum, the Chronicle will conduct an interview with Frank for publication on June 16 — when “Farley” turns 30.
