‘Times Herald-Record’ of Middletown, N.Y., Names Evans Ad Chief

The Times Herald-Record in Middletown, N.Y., has named Molly Evans its new director of advertising. Evans most recently was publisher of the Santa Cruz (Calif.) Sentinel.

Evans moved to the Sentinel in 2004 as general manager before becoming publisher earlier this year. Previous to that, she was advertising director of the Cape Cod Times in Massachusetts. Both papers are owned by the Herald-Record?s parent company Ottaway Newspapers, Inc.

With over twenty years of experience, Evans began her career in classified advertising sales and management. She has worked for papers in California, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Maine.

Dave Regan will replace Evans in Santa Cruz as an interim publisher. He formerly worked at the Time Herald-Record as production coordinator, production manager, assistant to the publisher, and assistant general manager.
