(AP) Tom Ridge, Assistant to the President and Director of Homeland Security, will be the speaker for The Associated Press Annual Meeting luncheon on April 29 in New Orleans.
The AP annual meeting occurs on the first day of the annual meeting of publishers of the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) convention. The meeting, open to all AP members, will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.
The AP lunch is preceded by a business review of the cooperative’s products and services and includes a panel on war and terrorism to be moderated by Louis D. Boccardi, president and chief executive of the AP.
Panel members include AP White House correspondent Ron Fournier, AP Deputy International Editor Nick Tatro, Washington Assistant Bureau Chief and investigative reporter John Solomon, and AP photographer Suzanne Plunkett. Kathy Gannon, AP’s bureau chief in Pakistan and Islamabad, will speak to the group by a video satellite uplink provided by APTN.
