Kubas Consultants, the Toronto-based international newspaper consulting firm, has merged with Canadian Primedia Sales & Marketing, the nation’s largest independent print and online rep firm.
As part of the merger, Kubas will be opening an office in New York City to be closer to its many American clients.
“The majority of Kubas’ business is currently conducted with U.S. clients, so it makes sense to have a base of operations in the United States,” Primedia President Ron Clark said in a statement. “That’s entirely consistent with Primedia’s service philosophy.”
For the next several years, Len Kubas will continue as chairman of Kubas Consultants, a firm established in 1977 that specializes in newspaper marketing, including advertising pricing, rate structures, and revenue improvement.
“Everyone at Kubas Consultants is very excited by this new relationship with Primedia,” Len Kubas said. “I am committed to working closely with Primedia President Ron Clark and my team to continue to build our business.”
Clark called the merger a “perfect fit.”
Canadian Primedia Sales & Marketing, established in 2006, represents more than 130 newspapers, magazines and web sites in seven provinces in Canada.
