Tribune Completes Sale of Albany Television Station

The Tribune Company announced today the completion of its sale of WCWN-TV (channel 45) in Albany, N.Y.

The station was sold to Freedom Communications, Inc., based in Irvine, Calif., for $17 million in cash.

Tribune also expects to sell WLVI-TV, Boston, by the end of December. To date, the company has sold $450 million of non-core assets.
