Ellen Glassberg has been named vice president of classified/telesales business development at Tribune Interactive. She was previously director of recruitment and call center sales for the Chicago Tribune Media Group. In her new role, Glassberg will lead classified sales and development across the company.
“Winning in classifieds is critical to Tribune’s success — it is one of our largest advertising categories — and Ellen is the right person to lead our efforts in this very competitive area,” Carolyn Gilbert, executive vice president/inside sales at Tribune Interactive, said in a statement. “Ellen’s combination of intelligence, expertise and experience are unsurpassed in the industry.”
Glassberg has been working in classifieds for 10 years. She spearheaded the Chicago Tribune’s classified revamp that integrated print and online.
Additionally, Glassberg appointed Kurt Mueller as senior director/classified advertising and business development and Michael Liu as senior director/classified strategy and operations for Tribune Interactive.
