L. Clark Morehouse III and Marc S. Schacher of Tribune Broadcasting have both received promotions, Tribune Broadcasting reported today. The company is a division of the Tribune Company.
Morehouse has been appointed to executive vice president/general manager of Tribune Entertainment Company (TEC), which is Tribune?s television programming and distribution business. Schacher has been named senior vice president/programming and development of Tribune Broadcasting.
Morehouse joined TEC in 2000, working as a senior vice president of advertising sales. His new responsibilities will encompass all of TEC?s operations, specifically the acceleration of revenue growth.
Schacher has worked for Tribune since 1979. His most recent position was as vice president of programming and development, a post he has held since 1995. His responsibilities will include nurturing the programming needs of the Tribune television group, and will involve negotiations for specific program acquisitions and packages.
Tribune Broadcasting owns and operates 26 television stations in major markets, including the national cable station WGN. All told, the broadcasting company reaches more than 80 percent of U.S. television households. The company?s assets also include Chicago?s WGN-AM and the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
