Tribune Publishing Revenue Falls but Second Quarter Earnings Beat Estimates

Tribune Publishing earned $3 million in the second quarter on $410 million in revenue, a year-over-year decline that still beat analyst estimates.

 

Advertising revenue continued to fall for the Chicago-based newspaper company, which is seeking to bolster operations through acquisitions, cost-cutting and an aggressive digital transformation. All of those strategies came into play in the second quarter.
