Chicago’s Tribune Interactive announced that it will provide national stories to Yahoo! News, extending a partnership where Tribune began sharing local stories in 2001.
National content from the Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times will appear on Yahoo, along with local news from nine of Tribune’s newspaper Web sites.
“When consumers turn to the Web for news they look for credible sources and trusted brands,” said David Hiller, Tribune Interactive president and Tribune Publishing senior vice president. “This agreement enables Tribune’s newspapers to extend its valued news content to millions of Yahoo! users.”
Tribune Interactive operates over 50 Web sites with more than 9 million unique visitors per month.
