Dogan Offset Publishing and Printing, Esenyurt, Turkey, will install two Tensor preses to increase production capabilities, especially for inserts. The two shaftless four-high towers and H-50 folder are due to be installed later this year, according to Tensor, based in Woodridge, Ill.
The T-500 heatset press incorporates three vibrator rollers and three ink form rollers for increased ink coverage, as well as on-the-run plate cylinder cocking with form roller-following for more accurate registration. Other features include EPG remote inking, Quad-tech register guidance, brush dampening and Megtec vertical dryers and splicers.
The towers will increase commercial insert printing capacity to 1.5 billion signatures, according to Tensor.
Dogan Offset was founded in 1979 by the Hurriyet Newspaper Group under the name Hurriyet Offset. In 1994, the Hurriyet Group was taken over by the Dogan Group.
