Mumbai-based Manugraph India Ltd. completed installation of Hiline and Cityline Express presses in Penang City and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for Ultimate Print Sdn. Bhd. Manugraph?s agent, Ferrostaal Malaysia, sold the presses.

For its Kuala Lumpur plant, Ultimate Print bought eight 45,000-impression-per-hour Hiline towers with eight Manugraph autopasters and two F1240 folders. The Cityline Express, for Ultimate Print?s Penang City plant, consists of eight towers and two Manugraph F222 folders. The 35,000-iph machines are equipped with Quadtech registration and cutoff-control systems and eight Manugraph autopasters.

Both press lines have a 22.75-inch cutoff and will run eight newspaper titles with a web width of just under 30 inches. Maximum web width on both machines is approximately 36 inches. Manugraph technicians delivered and installed both presses and trained personnel on site.

Ultimate Print, according to Executive Director Syamil Fahim B. Mohd Fahim, is the market?s biggest commercial printer with newspaper printing capabilities, posting 2009 sales of approximately $34 million.
