Union Option Rejected: Fairfax to Send Newspaper Production Work Offshore

A plan for production work on two regional Fairfax newspapers to be done in New Zealand will go ahead.

The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) said it condemned the decision by Fairfax Regional Media to send production jobs at its regional community newspapers, including the Newcastle Herald and The Illawarra Mercury, to New Zealand.
