Conrad Black’s first-born son turned himself into to Toronto police Sunday after being charged in a hit-and-run collision last week that left one man injured, Canadian newspapers reported.
Jonathan David Black, 30, faces four charges in the incident: failing to stop after an accident; careless driving; driving while under suspension; and driving while uninsured. He faces jail time for the criminal charge of leaving the scene of an accident, and a $5,000 fine for the charge of driving with a suspended license.
Police say the younger Black, driving an Infiniti automobile, rear-ended a stopped minivan, backed up, and left the scene. The driver of the stopped car was treated at a hospital for neck and shoulder injuries.
Jonathon Black is a former male model who now works for a firm in Toronto’s financial district.
His father began serving a 6 1/2-year sentence at a Florida prison last month for his conviction on three fraud charges, and a count of obstruction of justice.
