Steve Kurtz has been named vice president of digital development for USA Today.
Previously, Kurtz served as director of digital information technology for USATODAY.com. In his new capacity, Kurtz will focus on developing and maintaining technology and systems to support USA Today’s existing dotcom, mobile, iPhone and iPad platforms and will oversee the development and acquisition of digital and emerging platform space.
“Steve’s experience and knowledge make him uniquely qualified to take the reins of our new digital development team,” President/Publisher David L. Hunke said in a statement.
Kurtz served as president of Cavasoft Inc. before joining USA Today in 2004 as manager of information technology development for USATODAY.com. He was later promoted to director of digital information technology.
