USA Today will begin bundling Sherman’s Travel magazine in copies delivered to guests at select big-city hotels under an agreement reached with ShermansTravel Media.
Beginning in the second half of 2010, a total of 150,000 copies of the fall and winter issues of Sherman’s Travel will be inserted into select hotel distributions copies of USA TODAY.
With the hotel copies, the magazine’s circulation will top more than 400,000, a 38% increase. USA Today is an equity partner in ShermansTravel Media, the hotel distribution announcement noted.
Sherman’s Travel focuses on “smart luxury” travel.
“This amenity comes at a time when, across the travel industry, travelers really appreciate added value amenities,” ShermansTravel founder and CEO James H. Sherman said in a statement. “This partnership will benefit our magazine advertisers by our adding qualified reach, as the bundled product will be placed directly in the hands of professionals and frequent travelers across major U.S. markets.”
