USA Today launched an advertising campaign revealing it new tag, “we’re all in this together.” The marketing roll out coincides with the paper’s 25th anniversary. The paper also announced a new Web site called the Media Lounge, aimed at marketing and advertising professionals.
The campaign will run on the Web, radio, an electronic billboard in New York’s Times Square, and in trade magazines.
“At a time where the vast majority of news organizations are suffering from decreased readership, we are proud that USA Today is still growing after 25 years,” Craig Moon, president and publisher of the paper, said in a statement. “This campaign builds on that momentum and reflects the inclusive spirit that has always been at the heart of USA Today.”
USA Today is the country’s largest newspaper with a daily circulation of 2,278,022.
The ads, created by Arnold Worldwide, are based on the paper’s Snapshots info graphics and imagery.
USA Today’s new Web site Media Lounge covers industry news covered in the money section relevant to marketing and advertising. In addition, Doug Weaver of the Upstream Group is writing about personalities in the media and Mike Voorhaus of Frank E. Magid Associates will analyze the latest market research data and trends.
