Video, Pot Show Promise For Denver Post

While layoffs and low morale have hit the Denver Post particularly hard, video has been a seven-figure boon to the Pulitzer-winning newspaper, its digital sales chief says.

Reid Wicoff, VP of digital sales, says that its Denver Post TV unit is looking at spinning off some video verticals in addition to its popular pot site, The Cannabist. A collaboration via the state’s press association, CTV, is beginning to take off, and an OTT channel may also be in the offing.
