Jeremy Grayzel has been named president of VNU eMedia Inc., the new-media arm
of VNU Business Media Inc.
Grayzel will lead VNU’s efforts to expand its growth in electronic media across
all of its media properties. VNU Business Media includes BPI Communications,
Bill Communications, and VNU Expositions Inc. BPI publications include The
Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Adweek, Mediaweek , and Editor & Publisher.
The 40-employee work force of BPI’s U.S. electronic media group will be
incorporated into VNU eMedia and will grow to about 80 employees by the end of
the year, the company says.
Grayzel served as a consultant to VNU USA on its Internet strategy. In his new
role, he will report to a board of directors chaired by John Babcock Jr.,
president and CEO of BPI Communications.
‘Grayzel’s experience in both print and electronic publishing will enable us to
grow, compete and prosper more rapidly,’ Babcock says.
From 1989-98, Grayzel was president and CEO of GrayFire Information Services, an
electronic publishing company. His 12-year career in magazine publishing included
six years as president of Family Media Inc., publisher of Ladies’ Home Journal,
Discover, Health , and Golf Illustrated .
