Tampa, Fla. – March 5, 2012 – SAXOTECH, a leader in content management, circulation and advertising technology, today announced the Waco Tribune-Herald has selected the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center to streamline its workflow and production processes for all print and digital media products. The Tribune-Herald’s move to a single content management solution provider will bring new levels of publishing flexibility and will enable the media company to maximize the use of all available resources, producing content for more channels and more market segments than ever before.
The Tribune-Herald was looking for a sophisticated multi-channel publishing tool and approach – print, Web, mobile, tablets, syndication and other channels – and a single interface was a key requirement.
The SAXOTECH Mediaware Center will provide the media company with a full-featured multi-channel collaboration platform developed specifically for the publishing industry to support the entire news process – from the initial idea, through planning, writing, editing and publication in print or digital media.
“We were impressed with the company’s experience with its paywall product, its long history with cloud solutions, a very strong user base and an easy-to-use single interface for publishing content to multiple channels and devices,” said Donnis Baggett, president and publisher, Waco Tribune-Herald. “We were one of the early adopters for paid content and we are eager to use the SAXOTECH system to provide us variety in publishing methods and approaches, and variety in providing access to paid content for site visitors.”
More than 50 members of the Tribune-Herald will utilize the system to build a workflow that is streamlined and efficient, allowing the media company’s editorial employees to focus on quality and content, not on the mechanics and labor of publishing. Editors will see the resources available and plan accordingly.
With cloud technology, SAXOTECH will provide the Tribune-Herald with added levels of publishing flexibility allowing editors to maximize the use of all available resources. Content producers will have the ability to access and use a full production system from anywhere there is an Internet connection. By utilizing managed hosting in the SAXOTECH cloud, the Tribune-Herald will have the ability to take advantage of high-performing technology without having to make the personal investment in the needed hardware.
“SAXOTECH understands the growing need to maximize resources, maintain digital channels with breaking news around the clock, and still work on the assigned daily stories, and with the Mediaware Center, the Tribune-Herald will now be able to better manage those demands,” said Anders Christiansen, chief executive officer, SAXOTECH. “The Tribune-Herald is responsible for delivering relevant and timely news throughout Waco and its vicinity. Bringing everyone in the news organization together in one system will improve workflow, creating greater efficiencies and ultimately a better product for their readers.”
