Several cartoonists will speak and show their work at a March 28 event in Pittsburgh called “There’s Nothing Funny About War: Editorial Cartoonists Take Aim.”

Moderating the presentation — hosted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the University of Pittsburgh — is Post-Gazette/United Media editorial cartoonist Rob Rogers, who’s also president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.

Panelists include Signe Wilkinson, editorial cartoonist for The Philadelphia Daily News and the Washington Post Writers Group; Scott Stantis, The Birmingham (Ala.) News/Copley News Service editorial cartoonist who also does the topical “Prickly City” comic for Universal Press Syndicate; Ted Rall, a Universal editorial cartoonist who also does acquisition and development for United; and David Axe, military editor for Defense Technology International Magazine.

Next Wednesday’s event was mentioned today on The Comics Reporter (http://www.comicsreporter.com) and Daily Cartoonist (http://www.dailycartoonist.com) blogs.
