Automobile, Employment Solutions Offered For Sites
Pentawave Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz., has signed several newspapers this month for its online employment and automobile products.
Last week, The Washington Post chose Pentawave’s AutoChooser, which allows automotive advertisers to create print ads from online databases. AutoChooser will be incorporated into the Post’s AdSite, a Web-based tool for its advertisers.
Pentawave says AutoChooser will work with the cars.com database, in which the Post is a participant and part owner. AutoChooser is being used at over 70 newspaper and local TV affiliate Web sites, according to Pentawave.
Earlier this month, the Portland (Maine) Press Herald signed up for Pentawave’s recruitment solution IdealHire.
IdealHire allows newspapers to launch local job portals by connecting employees and employers within a specific region. IdealHire uses a matching and ranking system that covers skills and education so recruiters and job seekers can connect better.
IdealHire is now being used by 10 newspapers, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Denver Rocky Mountain News.
