‘Washington Examiner’ Names Senior Political Columnist

Timothy P. Carney has been promoted to senior political columnist at The Washington Examiner. He most recently served as the Examiner’s lobbying editor.

Carney, 32, joins Byron York and Michael Barone as featured writers on the politics page. His column will appear twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, and he will contribute to the Examiner’s Beltway Confidential blog.

Prior to joining the Examiner, Carney worked as a senior reporter and editor at the Evans-Novak Political Report. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post and American Spectator, among others.

He is also the author of “Obamanomics” and “The Big Ripoff: How Big Business and Big Government Steal Your Money.”
