The family-owned Wenatchee (Wash.) World will implement print and online publishing solutions from Tampa-based Saxotech to produce content across multiple media with an integrated multifunction publishing platform.
Saxotech was selected for Web content management and for a newsroom front end for its “combination of functionality, reliability, service, price and future research and development,” World Chief Operating Officer Steve Robinson said in a statement.
Saxotech Online will enable the 25,000-circulation World to provide three classes of content: news, community publishing and online advertising. Community publishing will allow readers to interact with content by providing tools such as forums, polls and events. The Online Advertising Management server will give the World greater insight into available ad impressions, according to Saxotech.
Saxotech Online together with Saxotech Editorial will provide full-feature management of planning, development, editing and production of the print and online products.
Saxotech Editorial layout tools allow designers and editors to create stories from the page and give journalists the ability to write-to-fit. Template tools allow quick creation of full pages or page sections.
