Chicago Sun-Times reporter Kara Spak won her first “Jeopardy” quiz show that aired Thursday. Spak handily beat the returning champion with a total of $24,001.
Spak added $6,001 to her final total with the correction “questoin” to this answer: A line in this 1863 poem mentions “the eighteenth of April in Seventy-Five.”
Spak’s response of “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” was the only spot-on accurate title for the Longfellow poem. Both other contestants had questions close enough for the “Jeopardy” judges.
A self-described huge fan of “Jeopardy who first tried out for hte show 12 years ago,” Spak wrote about her experience on the show in Thursday’s Sun-Times, but without revealing her victory.
