On the day Dennis Rader, the “BTK” killer, pleaded guilty in court to 10 murders, the local Wichita Eagle published a special afternoon edition. A note on its Web site a few hours late noted that it completely sold out at most locations.
Its front page featured small photos of each of the victims and a large shot of Rader, the former Scout and church leader, with the giant hed, GUILTY.
Rader had corresponded with the newspaper following his murders.
