Available in Europe in October and soon after in the United States, the Android-based Galaxy Tab has a large 7-inch TFT display with touchscreen interface, weighs 13.3 oz., includes 16GB or 32GB of expandable internal storage, features WiFi, GPS, rear- and front-facing cameras, and acts as a mobile phone.

“Innovation in hardware is just part of our story: enabling the mobilization of media content is now at the core of our smartphone offerings,” Samsung Electronics Research Institute Managing Director Y. S. Moon said in a statement. “Our cooperation with WoodWing will help enable traditional print-based media to create new and exciting content for Galaxy Tab owners.”
