Unless editorial cartoonists are holding their annual convention in a hotel, one usually doesn’t see their work in that setting. But that won’t be the case in a Sacramento hotel slated to open in about seven months.

The Sacramento Bee reports today that the decorations on the Citizen Hotel’s walls will include framed prints of editorial cartoons by the late Newton Pratt, who drew for the California paper for more than 30 years.

The Bee’s current editorial cartoonist is Rex Babin, who’s syndicated by King Features and also serves as vice president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.
