Ruth Marcus’ op-ed column will be distributed by the Washington Post Writers Group starting March 17.
Since joining The Washington Post in 1984, Marcus has been a reporter, deputy national editor, editorial writer, editorial board member, and columnist. She has covered the Supreme Court, White House, Congress, and more.
Marcus, who often does reporting for her column, uses the feature to write about everything from Washington issues to parental concerns.
After writing occasional op-ed pieces, Marcus started writing her column on a weekly basis in late 2005. She was a Pulitzer Prize for commentary finalist in 2007.
The Philadelphia native grew up in New Jersey, studied history at Yale University, and graduated from Harvard Law School.
