The Wall Street Journal Online launched a new free channel called Entrepreneur that is aimed at small business. StartupJournal.com will be incorporated into the site.
“Entrepreneur reflects the depth and extent of the Wall Street Journal Online’s small business coverage, which goes beyond the start-up stage,” David Patton, assistant managing editor, Wsj.com, said in a statement.
Entrepreneur is organized into six sections including “Running a Business,” “Financing,” and “On Technology.” Columnist Kelly Spors will answer reader questions and Wendy Bounds will write a column on the challenges of entrepreneurship.
For the past four years MasterCard advertised with the StartupJournal.com, which was launched in 1999. MasterCard will advertise on Entrepreneur.com and will sponsor a tab that clicks through to a co-branded site on each page.
MasterCard will also run launch advertising throughout the Wall Street Journal Digital Network and the print Journal.
