WSJ’S HUNT LOGS IN FROM PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

Political Reporter Launches Daily Online Column

The Wall Street Journal Online yesterday launched the Campaign Journal,
available to subscribers only, as a daily venue for Al Hunt, executive
news editor at the Journal’s Washington bureau, to offer his perspective
on the presidential campaign.

‘Unlike the opinion column I write each week for The Wall Street Journal,
this one will be strictly analysis of the intense nine weeks until Nov.
7,’ Hunt said. ‘Writing about presidential politics is like opening a
vein. You just let it flow.’

Scheduled for daily posting in the early afternoon, Hunt will report
news from the presidential campaign. Also included will be periodic
dispatches on the struggle for control of Congress, news from
gubernatorial races, updates on special interest groups, and political
analysis of the candidates’ proposals. The Journal also will have a
periodic ‘Voices Events’ for readers to join live discussions on
political issues.
