‘WSJ’s Steiger To Receive Loeb Award

(AP) Paul Steiger, managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, will receive a Gerald Loeb award for lifetime achievement, one of the highest honors in business journalism.

The lifetime achievement award, as well as finalists for other Gerald Loeb awards, were announced Thursday by Bruce Willison, chairman of the G. and R. Loeb Foundation Inc. and dean of The Anderson School at UCLA.

The winners of the other Loeb awards will be announced June 24 at a ceremony hosted by Lou Dobbs of CNN’s “Moneyline.”

Established in 1957 by Gerald Loeb, a founding partner of E.F. Hutton, the Loeb awards recognize journalists who have made significant contributions to the public’s understanding of business, finance, and the economy.
