‘WSJ’ Site Launches Fashion Blog to Cover Runway Shows

The Wall Street Journal’s Web site has launched a new blog, “Heard on the Runway,” that will provide continuously updated information and analysis about the runway shows debuting Fall 2007 collections in New York, Milan, and Paris. It is presented on the Journal’s site for free.

“The blog will be updated throughout the day during New York, Milan and Paris fashion weeks in February and March,” said Lisa Bannon, editor of The Wall Street Journal’s Retail and Luxury Goods Group in a statment. “It will bring the Journal’s trademark business analysis, scoops and insight to the industry’s biannual runway events.”

This is the latest event-driven blog produced by the Journal’s site. Previous event blogs have included sites devoted to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Detroit Auto Show, and the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland.

Reporters contributing to the blog include Teri Agins, Ellen Byron, Rachel Dodes, Vanessa O’Connell, Ray Smith and Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan.
