‘WSJ’ to Be Free, Print and Online, on Re-Launch Day — Jan. 2

The redesigned Wall Street Journal will launch on Jan. 2, 2007 and “to encourage consumer trial,” the Journal will be free at newsstands nationwide.

Dow Jones calls it “part of the largest sampling in its 117-year history.”

Nearly half a million copies will be free and The Wall Street Journal Online — normally a paid service — will also be free that day.
