A collective cringe swept across the blogosphere today at the sight of none other than White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove morphing ever-so-briefly into rapper “MC Rove” at last night’s Radio & Television Correspondent’s Association dinner in Washington.
Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ called the President’s political strategist up on stage, and, after a brief interview where they determined that his hobbies included collecting stamps and pulling the heads off of small animals, began rapping as Rove showed off some of his best hip-hop moves.
Thursday night, in reviewing the escapade, Jon Stewart on The Daily Show noted that if Jeffrey Dahmer performed at your Bar Mitzvah and it turned out he could really dance — “he would still be…Jeffrey Dahmer.”
