Washington– The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. has named Gwen Tomasulo as managing director, audience development and circulation, effective Nov. 1.
Tomasulo will lead the strategic effort to create brand awareness, drive traffic, grow audiences, maximize engagement and build loyalty across all of The Chronicle’s publications and platforms including print, digital (site, social and mobile), and live events.
Previously, she served at the Atlantic Media Company, where she was audience development director for the National Journal Group. There she led a 20-member cross-functional team managing marketing, sales and client services for National Journal, National Journal Daily (formerly CongressDaily), The Hotline, and The Almanac of American Politics.
Prior to that, Tomasulo held marketing and audience development management posts at American Law Media and at Institutional Investor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in geoenvironmental studies from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and a master’s of business administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
