Chuck Plunkett has been named editorial page editor for The Denver Post. He was most recently the newspaper’s politics editor. Plunkett will oversee print and online content for the daily opinion page and the Sunday Perspective section.
Plunkett joined The Post in 2003 after reporting for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. He became a political reporter in the run-up to the Democratic National Convention held in Denver in 2008 and joined The Post’s editorial board soon after the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis that year.
After two years on the editorial board, Plunkett returned to the metro reporting corps on an investigative government beat. He became politics editor in July 2011.
