Daily News Names Pulitzer Prize Winner Arthur Browne as Editor-in-Chief

Calling him “the lifeblood and soul” of the Daily News “for decades,” publisher Mort Zuckerman has named Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Arthur Browne Editor-in-Chief of the media organization.

Presently serving as Editorial Page Editor, a position in which he led a team that won the 2007 Pulitzer for documenting Ground Zero illnesses, Browne joined The News in 1973 as a copy boy and rose to play key roles in telling New York’s most important stories while maintaining The News’ singular place as the city’s Voice of the People.
