David Dreier has been named to Tribune Publishing Co.’s Board of Directors.
Dreier is chairman of the Annenberg-Dreier Commission. Prior to leading the Commission, Dreier served as a member of the United States Congress representing the Los Angeles area from 1980 until 2013.
Dreier was the first Californian and one of the youngest and longest serving chairmen of the Rules Committee. He authored the 1995 Congressional reform package that opened committee meetings to the public and the press.
A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he was the founding chairman of the House Democracy Partnership, a congressional commission that has worked to strengthen legislative bodies in 17 new and reemerging democracies across the globe.
