Decatur Daily Getting New Exec. Editor

Publisher Clint Shelton announced Monday that Don Hudson, 49, of Madison, Mississippi, will replace Tom Wright on Dec. 16. as executive editor.

 

“Don’s passion for journalism, aggressive nature and team-building skills will help all of us in our goal of putting out a better paper today than we did yesterday,” Shelton said.  Shelton said trying to find the right person to replace Wright was a difficult task.  Hudson was selected from more than 50 applicants.  He comes to The Decatur Daily from The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss., where the paper was recognized as a Pulitzer finalist.
