Don Shelton Named Editor of Seattle Times

Don Shelton has been named editor of The Seattle Times. He has worked in journalism for 40 years, serving 29 years at the Seattle Times, most recently as sports editor.

Before joining the Seattle Times, Shelton worked at the Yakima (Wash.) Herald-Republic, the Journal-American in Bellevue, Wash. and the Santa Rosa (Calif.) Press-Democrat. Before being named The Times’ sports editor in 2009, he worked as the newspaper’s assistant sports editor for 22 years, leading preps coverage and coordinating Huskies and Seahawks game-day coverage.
