Los Angeles, Calif.–The Los Angeles Times has appointed Joe Bel Bruno editor of the business section’s financial markets team. He will oversee coverage of stocks, consumer financial products, banking and related topics. Previously, he served at Dow Jones Newswires, where he led reporters covering the stock market for DJN and the print and online editions of The Wall Street Journal. From 2004 to 2009, he was a national business writer for The Associated Press in New York, where he served as the lead stock market reporter and anchored the news service’s coverage of the financial crisis. Before joining The AP, he was the London correspondent for Knight Ridder Financial/Bridge News.
