Tom Gorman has been named executive editor of the Las Vegas Sun. He joined the Sun in 2005 as a columnist after 32 years at the Los Angeles Times, where he worked as a state reporter, national correspondent and assistant metro editor. He was promoted to assistant managing editor in 2006, senior editor/print in 2010, and most recently served as managing editor.
Ric Anderson will replace Gorman as managing editor. He was previously a government reporter and sports writer at the Lawrence Journal-World, a news columnist and editorial page editor and director of cmmentary at the Topeka Capital-Journal, and most recently assistant managing editor/business at the Las Vegas Sun before leaving earlier this year to become vice president of audience at AGN Media in Amarillo, Texas.
