Longest Serving Executive Editor of The Ledger Announces Retirement

Louis M. “Skip” Perez, executive editor of The Ledger in Lakeland, FL. and senior editor of The New York Times Regional Media Group, is retiring effective Jan. 14. After 29 years as editor, Perez is the longest serving editor of The Ledger since its inception in 1924 and is the longest serving executive editor of a daily newspaper in Florida.
