Morris Multimedia Inc. headquartered in Savannah, Ga., has announced the hiring of Lori Maxim for the newly created corporate position of director of revenue.

In her new role, Maxim is responsible for overseeing all revenue generation aspects of the company’s publishing division.

Maxim is a veteran of the media industry, having most recently served as vice president of Sound Publishing based in the state of Washington. At Sound, she was responsible for the financial performance of more than 20 media publications.

She previously served as director of national sales and marketing and as a regional publisher for Sound. Prior to accepting the new position, Maxim was president of the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association.

As director of revenue, Maxim will be responsible for the growth of revenue at all Morris Multimedia print division properties, which include daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, specialty print products, media websites and digital advertising agencies  in nine different states and the Caribbean.

Maxim will be based in Gainesville, Ga., home of Morris Multimedia’s largest daily newspaper, The Times.

Morris Multimedia Inc., parent company of Morris Newspaper Corporation and Morris Network, is among the largest privately held media companies in the United States. Founded in 1970 in Savannah by Charles H. Morris, the company today owns and operates more than 65 publications, network affiliate television stations, and other media related ventures.
