Raymond E. Gross, Former New England Press Association President, Dies at 85

Raymond Emerton Gross, 85, retired publisher of the Courier-Gazette of Rockland, Maine, died Sunday, Dec. 7, of congestive heart failure, following a period of rapidly declining health.

He was a member of the International Society of Professional Newspaper Editors, past president of both the Maine Press Association and the New England Press Association, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Newspaper Association.
